Spring Gardening in the Nude – World Naked Gardening Day is officially supported by the Desire Resorts Hotel Group of Costa Rica by A Mark
The 6th annual World Naked Gardening Day will be taking place at the GoNudeCostaRica Hotel In San Jose, Costa Rica, on Saturday, May 14, 2011. World Naked Gardening Day is not restricted to one location, rather in truth, it’s a lifestyle that can be practiced anywhere, at anytime. However, the GoNudeCostaRica hotel is perfectly suited for the event with over six acres of estate, numerous gardens and the lush environs that Costa Rica is famous for.
In a sense gardening is a natural connection with the earth through the soil and breeze. Gardening in the nude takes this connection the next logical step forward, through appreciation of these sensations in a natural setting. It’s thought to be liberating, as a means of feeling closer to nature than in any other way.
Apparently the event was conceived of by an organic gardener along with an editor of a naturist magazine, and every year there has been more and more interest in the date. The term “naturist” suggests a philosophy viewed as an integral part of the participants’ lives. On the other hand, there are those that simply feel that wearing no clothes makes more sense than wearing them, and of course, saving on the clothing budget.
The Desire Resorts Hotel Group in Costa Rica is supporting World Naked Gardening Day in a perfect environment for growing flowers at its location in San Jose. Costa Rica is renowned for its orchids and is the source of a large amount of the world’s orchid stock, with has more than 1300 orchid varieties. In addition there are also 9000 recognized vascular plants varieties, plus more than 900 different tree varieties.
GoNudeCostRica.com is a nudist resort set in the San Jose Valley, between the city and the volcanoes, cooled by the valley breezes, and set almost halfway between the Pacific and Caribbean coasts. The resort used to be a private estate and has now been converted into a suite hotel with a world class restaurant offering international and Costa Rican cuisine. There are two naked swimming pools on the property, both of which are encircled by white linen draped cabana beds that offer privacy should guests so desire. Pathways meander through the grounds linking the pools with the tennis court, open air Jacuzzi nook as well as a Games Villa where the exercise room, billiards and table tennis bar are located. The resort’s central position makes it perfect for day trips to view Costa Rica’s riches in its nud beaches, volcanoes, whitewater rafting, canopy excursions, zip lines, and of course surfing. There’s also coffee plantations, jungle and eco forest excursions available. It’s the perfect setting for activities leading up to celebrating World Naked Gardening Day.
